TOWING REQUIREMENTS |
Your vehicle must be equipped with the proper trailer hitch, slider and ball (2"-2 5/16"). You must have the proper electrical connector for all trailer hook-ups. A Flat 4 for all TENT TRAILERS and UTILITY TRAILERS or a Round 7 for all TRAVEL TRAILERS and TOY HAULERS. A brake controller is required for any unit over 4000 pounds. You may rent a brake controller from us for $25.00, but your vehicle must have the wiring and harness installed and be ready to plug into. It is YOUR responsibility to have your vehicle ready to hook up when you pick up the trailer. This means all wiring, connectors, balls, brake controllers, hardware and anything else pertaining TO THE TRAILER is YOUR obligation. Should it be necessary to ready your vehicle for tow, you will be charged a $30.00 minimum and a $65.00 an hour rate IF someone is available. It is in your best interest to have your vehicle ready for tow. Also, due to liability reasons, we are not responsible for hooking the unit up to your tow vehicle. You are responsible for connecting the brake controller, hitching the trailer to the unit, applying the sway bars, etc. Please call us if you have any questions regarding your vehicle. |
